Job Title: Lead Facilities Maintenance Mechanic - 837. Location: Broomfield, Colorado, USA

Job Type: Full-time, On-site

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate daily facility maintenance operations and assigned work orders.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support to maintenance staff and contractors.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain facility systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Operate and maintain building automation systems (such as Honeywell EBI, Carrier i-Vu, or equivalent);
  • Monitor and maintain environmental conditions including temperature and humidity in laboratory and production areas.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance activities to reduce downtime and improve equipment lifespan.
  • Support facility upgrades, renovations, installations, and contractor-led projects.
  • Manage external contractors, ensuring compliance with safety, scheduling, and operational standards.
  • Conduct contractor onboarding, safety orientations, and site inspections.
  • Ensure adherence to safety procedures, environmental standards, and company policies.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance issues, alarms, and operational disruptions;
  • Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours facility support.
  • Maintain accurate records for work orders, inspections, equipment, and maintenance logs.
  • Support inventory management of tools, spare parts, and maintenance supplies.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for facility reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 5 years of facilities maintenance experience in commercial, industrial, laboratory, or manufacturing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals;
  • Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities;
  • Familiarity with contractor coordination and safety management.
  • Proficiency with CMMS systems and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong communication and team leadership skills

Preferred:

  • Technical school, trade certification, or associate degree in Facilities Maintenance, HVAC, Electrical, or related field.
  • Previous supervisory or lead experience.
  • Experience with building automation and environmental monitoring systems.
  • OSHA certifications (10 or 30), EPA Universal Certification, HVAC or electrical/mechanical licenses.
  • Forklift or aerial lift certification;
  • Strong understanding of workplace safety standards and OSHA compliance.
