Job Description
Job Title: IT Support Specialist II. Location: Remote, United States
Responsibilities:
- Provide responsive and high-quality technical support for hardware, software, and network issues across Windows, macOS, and Linux systems.
- Troubleshoot and maintain end-user devices, peripherals, printers, telephony, and conference systems.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, and mobile devices including iOS and Android;
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including account provisioning, device setup, and user training.
- Manage user accounts and access using Active Directory and cloud identity platforms.
System Maintenance and Deployment
- Perform routine system maintenance, patching, updates, and endpoint health checks.
- Track and maintain system configurations and coordinate with vendors for support and synchronization.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining automated deployment solutions such as PXE, Windows Deployment, Intune, and scripting.
Collaboration and Process Improvement
- Work closely with networking, security, and systems teams to resolve escalated issues.
- Document issues, resolutions, and procedures in ticketing systems and knowledge bases;
- Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to tools, processes, and training.
- Manage routine tasks independently while escalating complex issues when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 4 years of IT or desktop support experience.
- Experience providing executive-level or white glove support.
- Proficiency with Windows and macOS, with familiarity in Linux systems.
- Working knowledge of networking fundamentals including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and VPNs.
- Experience with identity and access management tools such as Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and time management skills;
- Clear communication skills and strong customer service mindset.
- Ability to work independently and make routine decisions.
- Flexibility to support occasional evenings, weekends, or travel if required.
