IT Support Specialist II

Job Description

Job Title: IT Support Specialist II. Location: Remote, United States

Responsibilities:

  • Provide responsive and high-quality technical support for hardware, software, and network issues across Windows, macOS, and Linux systems.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain end-user devices, peripherals, printers, telephony, and conference systems.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, and mobile devices including iOS and Android;
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including account provisioning, device setup, and user training.
  • Manage user accounts and access using Active Directory and cloud identity platforms.

System Maintenance and Deployment

  • Perform routine system maintenance, patching, updates, and endpoint health checks.
  • Track and maintain system configurations and coordinate with vendors for support and synchronization.
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining automated deployment solutions such as PXE, Windows Deployment, Intune, and scripting.

Collaboration and Process Improvement

  • Work closely with networking, security, and systems teams to resolve escalated issues.
  • Document issues, resolutions, and procedures in ticketing systems and knowledge bases;
  • Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to tools, processes, and training.
  • Manage routine tasks independently while escalating complex issues when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of IT or desktop support experience.
  • Experience providing executive-level or white glove support.
  • Proficiency with Windows and macOS, with familiarity in Linux systems.
  • Working knowledge of networking fundamentals including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and VPNs.
  • Experience with identity and access management tools such as Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and time management skills;
  • Clear communication skills and strong customer service mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and make routine decisions.
  • Flexibility to support occasional evenings, weekends, or travel if required.
