Job Title: Systems Yield Engineer, Quantum AI. Location: Goleta, CA, USA
Job Type: Full-time, Entry Level
Responsibilities:
- Specify, design, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and thermal test fixtures for component, sub-assembly, and system testing.
- Develop new testing methods for both room-temperature and cryogenic environments.
- Drive comprehensive testing to characterize the yield and reliability of critical components and assemblies.
- Collaborate with software and hardware teams to ensure test and yield data remains traceable and accessible for rapid decision-making.
- Perform data analysis to support new testing methods and root-cause analysis;
- Work with internal hardware teams and vendors to establish pass/fail criteria.
- Develop and support automation for test analysis.
- Partner with multiple Quantum AI teams to maintain current test coverage as hardware technologies rapidly advance.
- Work with electrical testing, statistical analysis, and measurement sensitivity considerations.
- Contribute to testing and yield strategies for scalable quantum computing hardware.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a specialized field such as Optics, Sensors, or Audio/DSP, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience with electrical testing.
- 3 years of experience using statistical and data analysis tools.
- Familiarity with electrical noise and measurement sensitivity;
- Proficiency in data analysis using Python, JMP, ReliaSoft, or similar tools.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- Experience with data visualization libraries such as Plotly or matplotlib.
- Experience contributing to and collaborating within a shared codebase.
- Experience with cryogenic testing.
- Familiarity with PCB design principles.
- Understanding of mechanical design fundamentals.
Benefits and Compensation:
- Salary range: $132,000 to $189,000 per year.
- Target bonus: 15%.
- Equity compensation.
