Job Description
Job Title: Senior Application Developer (Government Business Solutions) [583]. Location: Onsite Florida - Remote, United States
Responsibilities:
- Develop algorithms to solve complex problems and build applications that run on D-Wave quantum computers and internal tools.
- Implement and optimize commercial quantum applications, primarily using Python, and maintain ownership of the application codebase.
- Build custom applications that solve complex problems for customers and support applications intended for market release.
- Ensure successful project delivery and help achieve positive business value for customers;
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and internal team members to understand application requirements and design customized solutions.
- Develop expertise in D-Wave's professional services offerings, including the Leap quantum cloud service and open-source Ocean software tools.
- Solve challenging real-world problems that directly impact commercial customers' business success.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional Python experience.
- Minimum bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field preferred.
- Strong knowledge of probability, statistics, and/or mathematics.
- Experience with version control software such as Git.
- Experience implementing complex algorithms;
- Experience building open-source applications to solve complex problems for customers or for market release.
- Proven experience working with federal agencies.
- Excellent critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated creativity when approaching new problems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, flexible, and passionate about developing state-of-the-art software.
- Must currently have or be able to obtain a U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance.
Preferred:
- Master's or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Knowledge of NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, and NetworkX.
- Experience developing applications for quantum computing systems.
Benefits and Compensation:
- Salary range: $124,000 to $186,000 USD per year for the remote U.S. position.
- Compensation may include base salary, equity, bonus, perks, and other benefits.
- Final compensation is determined based on the candidate's proficiencies within the position level.
