Job Description
Job Title: Data Software Engineer. Location: Palo Alto, California, United States. Job Type: Full-Time, Mid-Level (3+ years experience)
Responsibilities:
- Extend database models, backend frameworks, and REST APIs for scalable data system integration.
- Develop and maintain robust data pipelines for processing and transforming data from multiple sources.
- Support, troubleshoot, and improve existing data integration systems and reporting infrastructure.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code for production systems;
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and research teams to design and deploy new features.
- Perform root cause analysis, code reviews, and unit testing with team members.
- Assist engineers and managers with data queries, feature development, and bug resolution.
- Provide timely support and issue resolution for internal users and systems;
- Apply strong analytical thinking and decision-making to improve system reliability and performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in software engineering, especially scalable application development.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Experience with data modeling and database design principles;
- Experience building data-intensive applications using frameworks such as Flask, Django, or FastAPI.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, Dash, or JMP.
- Experience with web technologies including JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Strong understanding of Git and collaborative development workflows;
- Experience with ETL pipelines and data ingestion systems.
- Strong debugging, testing, and documentation practices.
Preferred:
- Experience with semiconductor testing or data-driven semiconductor applications.
- Strong Python scientific computing skills (Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Matplotlib, Jupyter).
- Experience designing CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
Benefits and Compensation:
- Base salary range: $130,000 to $165,000 depending on location and experience.
