Job Description
Job Title: Sr. Director, Offering Management – Quantum Developer Platform. Location: United States (Remote)
Responsibilities:
- Define and execute a multi-year strategy for the quantum developer platform aligned with company technology and business objectives.
- Prioritize platform features that support future products and long-term roadmap goals.
- Identify platform capabilities needed for future workloads, applications, and next-generation quantum hardware.
- Lead build, buy, or partner decisions for platform components;
- Define and monitor KPIs to measure platform adoption and developer productivity.
- Translate emerging technologies, including AI, cloud-native computing, and edge computing, into strategic platform investments.
- Connect platform capabilities with business outcomes, including revenue growth, market expansion, and product enablement.
- Develop monetization and packaging strategies, including usage-based pricing and service tiers.
- Build business cases supporting large-scale platform and infrastructure investments.
Developer Experience
- Own the complete developer experience across multiple customer segments.
- Partner with customer support teams to improve onboarding, documentation, tooling, debugging, and technical support.
- Establish best practices for APIs, SDKs, documentation, templates, libraries, versioning, and developer workflows;
- Promote data-driven improvements using customer feedback, user analytics, surveys, support requests, and direct engagement.
- Identify and eliminate barriers affecting developer productivity and platform adoption.
Platform Architecture & Technical Leadership
- Partner with engineering leadership to design scalable, reliable, and maintainable platform architectures.
- Participate in integrated product teams, providing guidance on design decisions involving scalability, cost, and long-term maintainability.
- Serve as an internal and external advocate for the quantum developer platform;
- Translate customer and market requirements into product capabilities through Market Requirements Documents (MRDs).
Ecosystem & Growth
- Collaborate with customer support and ecosystem teams to grow a strong developer community.
- Improve developer onboarding, education, advocacy, and partner engagement.
- Develop initiatives that increase platform adoption, customer retention, and long-term ecosystem growth.
Execution & Operational Excellence
- Establish effective roadmap planning, prioritization, and operational processes.
- Build strong partnerships across engineering, product management, sales, finance, legal, and customer support.
- Work with program management teams to define milestones and monitor project progress.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in product or offering management for developer platforms, cloud services, high-performance computing (HPC), or advanced computing systems.
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
Preferred:
- Experience with HPC platforms, accelerator-based computing, scientific computing, simulation environments, or cloud computing platforms.
- Knowledge or experience in quantum computing is preferred but not required.
- Ability to bridge quantum computing, software engineering, and product strategy.
- Proven ability to influence research, engineering, and business teams;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain highly technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Experience managing a small, high-performing global team.
- Demonstrated success influencing cross-functional teams without direct reporting relationships.
- Experience balancing hands-on project work with mentoring and team development.
- Ability to work effectively in ambiguous and rapidly evolving environments.
- Strong leadership, emotional intelligence, and decision-making skills under pressure.
Benefits and Compensation:
- Annual salary: $260,000 to $325,000, based on experience, education, skills, and qualifications.
