Lead Integration Engineer

Job Description

Job Title: Lead Integration Engineer. Location: Huntsville, Alabama, USA

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the integration engineering team for quantum sensing systems in Huntsville.
  • Define engineering strategy for quantum navigation products including gravimeters, accelerometers, and magnetometers.
  • Ensure seamless integration of hardware and software subsystems across electronics, optics, mechanics, and software.
  • Plan and execute system integration activities and field trials, including test setup and data collection;
  • Prepare and maintain documentation for integration builds, test configurations, results, and system anomalies.
  • Establish scalable integration processes, tools, and testing frameworks.
  • Maintain laboratory environments, equipment, and consumables for safe and efficient operations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, principal engineers, technical leads, and international teams.
  • Support deployment of systems on UAV and other field platforms;
  • Lead troubleshooting and validation of system-level performance in lab and real-world environments.
  • Mentor team members and support technical growth within the integration team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Experience in systems engineering, integration, and validation of complex hardware and software systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Experience working with technical, operational, and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with documentation and configuration management practices.
  • Experience using collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.

Preferred:

  • Aerospace or defense industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience leading field trials or flight testing;
  • Understanding of aerospace quality systems, certification, and qualification processes.
  • Hands-on experience in advanced sensing or mission-critical systems.
  • Strong leadership experience in multidisciplinary engineering teams.
