Job Description

Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer, Spacecraft. Location: Louisville, Colorado, United States

Job Type: Full-Time (On-site with partial remote flexibility)

Responsibilities:

  • Own execution of spacecraft assembly and integration activities, ensuring compliance with engineering requirements, quality standards, and production schedules.
  • Develop detailed work instructions and manufacturing processes to improve yield and reduce cycle time.
  • Lead investigation and root cause analysis of non-conformances and implement corrective actions;
  • Design and develop large-scale ground support equipment (GSE) for spacecraft manufacturing and integration.
  • Review engineering models and drawings to ensure manufacturability and design compliance.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on Design for Manufacturing (DFM) improvements to reduce defects and improve production efficiency.
  • Work with supply chain teams to improve first-pass yield of materials and components;
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across spacecraft production workflows.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in spacecraft manufacturing or complex electro-mechanical aerospace systems.
  • Hands-on experience in manufacturing and testing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards;
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD tools such as SolidWorks.
  • Experience using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills in manufacturing and production environments.

Preferred:

  • Experience with spacecraft or satellite integration and assembly.
  • Background in aerospace manufacturing processes and systems engineering.
  • Experience in design for manufacturability (DFM) practices;
  • Familiarity with supplier quality improvement and production yield optimization.
  • Strong understanding of electro-mechanical systems used in space environments.

  • Base salary range: $110,336 to $144,459 annually.
