Job Description
Job Title: Senior Math Libraries Engineer, Post Quantum Cryptography. Location: Santa Clara, California, United States; Remote (US, CA)
Your work will directly impact security software stacks across a wide range of processors, from edge devices to data center GPUs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize scalable, high-performance cryptographic primitives, algorithms, and building blocks for GPU architectures.
- Design robust long-term software architectures compatible with multiple generations of hardware;
- Collaborate with internal teams (product management, engineering) and external partners to understand feature and performance requirements.
- Deliver timely releases of the cuPQC Software Development Kit (SDK).
- Influence the creation of APIs, documentation, and the overall developer experience.
Qualifications:
- PhD or MSc in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience designing and developing software for cryptography in low-latency or high-throughput environments.
- Strong mathematical foundations;
- Advanced C++ skills, including modern design paradigms (template meta-programming, SFINAE, RAII, constexpr).
- Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation habits.
Preferred / Nice to Have:
- Experience developing widely-used libraries.
- CUDA C++ and GPU computing experience.
- Knowledge of contemporary software automation setups (CMake, CI/CD, sanitizers).
- Strong understanding of mathematical foundations and cryptographic algorithms, including finite field arithmetic, lattice-based cryptography, and cryptographic hash functions.
Benefits & Compensation:
- Competitive base salary: $184,000–$287,500 (Level 4), $224,000–$356,500 (Level 5), depending on experience and location.
