Job Description
Job Title: AI-Native Security Research Intern 2027. Location: Yorktown Heights, NY, USA
Job Type: Internship, Co-op (Fixed Term), On-site
Responsibilities:
- Design systems that address emerging security risks associated with AI agents and agentic applications.
- Develop proof-of-concept implementations for security tools and systems.
- Conduct experiments and evaluations of security systems and techniques.
- Analyze experimental and other relevant data;
- Design, implement, and evaluate state-of-the-art tools and systems for securing AI agents.
- Investigate vulnerabilities and contribute to vulnerability discovery and analysis.
- Work on system hardening and approaches that provide strong security guarantees.
- Communicate technical ideas, research findings, and results to colleagues.
- Collaborate with research scientists, engineers, and other multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Rust, or Go.
- Experience building, debugging, and testing software systems.
- Knowledge of systems security and software security;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree.
- Experience with AI agents and agentic software development.
- Experience designing, conducting, and evaluating experiments.
- Knowledge of access control and language-based security concepts.
- Knowledge of distributed systems and operating system concepts.
Benefits and Compensation:
- Projected compensation range of $89,280 to $163,680 per year based on a full-time annual schedule. Compensation for this internship may be adjusted according to the applicable employment schedule.
- Supplemental employees may be eligible for up to 8 paid holidays.
- Minimum of 56 hours of paid sick time.
