Quantum Computing Systems Engineer

Job Description

Job Title: Quantum Computing Systems Engineer. Location: Yorktown Heights, New York, USA

Job Type: Full-Time, Regular, Professional, Onsite

Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement cross-team integration and test plans for quantum computing systems.
  • Establish best practices for engineering documentation, requirements tracking, and change control.
  • Collaborate with infrastructural technology teams to support development of fault-tolerant quantum computers.
  • Work across signal delivery, control electronics, cryogenics, and readout hardware domains;
  • Contribute to system-level testing, calibration, and performance validation of quantum hardware.
  • Support engineering coordination between multiple technical teams and research groups.
  • Identify opportunities for deep technical contributions within hardware and system integration domains.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong technical communication skills for documentation and cross-team collaboration.
  • Understanding of system-level engineering concepts in complex hardware environments.

Preferred:

  • PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Complex circuit testing
    • Low-noise measurement systems
    • Microwave electronics
    • Test automation
    • Qubit calibration and testing
  • Strong understanding of system-level performance metrics for quantum computing systems.
  • Leadership experience in technical, program, or engineering management roles.

  • Salary range: $200,000 – $285,000 per year (based on experience and location).
