Senior Test Manager

Job Description

Job Title: Senior Test Manager. Location: Palo Alto, CA, USA

Responsibilities:

• Improve system throughput and capabilities for electrical and optical testing, focusing on wafer and edge coupling platforms.
• Develop circuit-level test capabilities and extend them to high-speed, yield-capable testing.
• Increase tool throughput and availability by designing improved hardware and software solutions.
• Design repair plans for complex failures and implement proactive monitoring solutions to prevent issues;
• Collaborate with component development engineers to extend capabilities and enhance high-volume testing.
• Work within the broader photonics organization to support test enablement, new tooling, recipe development, and analysis for decision-making.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; PhD preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in:
  • Photonic test or characterization, particularly at wafer/probe scale.
  • Electronic, RF, and photonic IC testing;
  • Lab and production-scale imaging and fiber measurement.
• Experience in software development, management, and planning.
• Ability to work effectively with engineers and technologists in R&D and NPI environments.

Preferred:

• Experience in scaling test processes for high-volume photonic or quantum systems;
• Familiarity with silicon photonics and integration with semiconductor manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of cryogenic systems and optical fiber interfacing.

Benefits and Compensation

• U.S. Base Pay Range: $135,000 – $155,000 USD.
• Bay Area Pay Range: $175,000 – $195,000 USD.
