Job Title: Device Characterization Engineer. Location: Yorktown Heights, New York, USA
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and test innovative quantum hardware solutions using quantum engineering, microfabrication, packaging, and related technologies.
- Apply expertise in microelectronics process development and integration, microwave circuit engineering, mechanical engineering, thermal engineering, quantum control, and classical electronics.
- Optimize system architectures, design, integration, and testing for quantum hardware solutions;
- Perform microwave testing and semiconductor device testing to support high-quality hardware development.
- Contribute to chip design and layout activities.
- Apply modeling expertise to support innovative quantum hardware solutions.
- Work with yield engineering analytics, electrical testing, and wafer-scale characterization.
- Perform electrical probing and use test equipment for device characterization.
- Support defect analysis and data systems integration.
- Contribute to the development and application of EDA tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across quantum engineering, microfabrication, packaging, testing, and related disciplines.
- Support project and program management activities when required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Familiarity with designing, developing, and testing quantum hardware solutions using modern quantum engineering principles and methodologies.
- Familiarity with yield engineering analytics, electrical testing, and wafer-scale characterization.
- Exposure to test engineering practices, including microwave testing and semiconductor device testing;
- Understanding of testing principles and methodologies for quantum hardware development.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Hands-on experience with electrical probing and test equipment.
- Experience with defect analysis and data systems integration;
- Familiarity with mechanical engineering and thermal engineering principles and practices.
- Experience designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems for quantum hardware solutions.
- Experience leading cross-functional projects or programs.
Benefits and Compensation:
- Projected annual salary range: $140,000 to $230,000.
