Electrical Engineering Intern

Job Description

Job Title: Electrical Engineering Intern - 997. Location: Broomfield, CO, USA

Responsibilities:

  • Design, enhance, integrate, and test control-system electronics for next-generation quantum computers.
  • Work with digital, analog, power, and RF components as part of the Quantinuum control system.
  • Collaborate with engineers across disciplines to develop solutions that meet evolving product and customer requirements.
  • Participate in all phases of product development.
  • Contribute to the engineering work supporting Quantinuum H-Series Quantum Computers.
  • Work as part of a collaborative engineering team to develop and test complex hardware systems.
  • Apply knowledge of analog, digital, power, and RF electronics to practical engineering challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree.
  • Expected to graduate in December 2027 or later.
  • Must meet Quantinuum's U.S. Person requirement due to contractual requirements. This includes U.S. citizens, permanent residents or green card holders, and individuals granted asylum or refugee status.
  • Due to U.S. Government national security requirements, candidates must not be nationals of the People's Republic of China or Russia unless they are also U.S. citizens.

Preferred:

  • Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
  • Knowledge of digital, analog, and/or RF circuit analysis and design.
  • Experience with PCB board design.
  • Experience with FPGA HDL coding, including Verilog, VHDL, or SystemVerilog.
  • Knowledge of circuit simulation.
  • Software development experience.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Results-oriented approach and ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Ability to take initiative and manage competing priorities.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

Benefits and Compensation:

  • Compensation: $24 to $36 per hour.
  • Actual compensation depends on skills, educational background, professional experience, and other qualifications.
  • Candidates located outside Colorado may receive a housing stipend of $500 per bi-weekly paycheck.
