Job Description
Job Title: Electrical Engineering Intern - 997. Location: Broomfield, CO, USA
Responsibilities:
- Design, enhance, integrate, and test control-system electronics for next-generation quantum computers.
- Work with digital, analog, power, and RF components as part of the Quantinuum control system.
- Collaborate with engineers across disciplines to develop solutions that meet evolving product and customer requirements.
- Participate in all phases of product development.
- Contribute to the engineering work supporting Quantinuum H-Series Quantum Computers.
- Work as part of a collaborative engineering team to develop and test complex hardware systems.
- Apply knowledge of analog, digital, power, and RF electronics to practical engineering challenges.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree.
- Expected to graduate in December 2027 or later.
- Must meet Quantinuum's U.S. Person requirement due to contractual requirements. This includes U.S. citizens, permanent residents or green card holders, and individuals granted asylum or refugee status.
- Due to U.S. Government national security requirements, candidates must not be nationals of the People's Republic of China or Russia unless they are also U.S. citizens.
Preferred:
- Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
- Knowledge of digital, analog, and/or RF circuit analysis and design.
- Experience with PCB board design.
- Experience with FPGA HDL coding, including Verilog, VHDL, or SystemVerilog.
- Knowledge of circuit simulation.
- Software development experience.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Results-oriented approach and ability to work with limited supervision.
- Ability to take initiative and manage competing priorities.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Benefits and Compensation:
- Compensation: $24 to $36 per hour.
- Actual compensation depends on skills, educational background, professional experience, and other qualifications.
- Candidates located outside Colorado may receive a housing stipend of $500 per bi-weekly paycheck.
