Job Description

Job Title: Senior Quantum System Integrator. Location: New Haven, Connecticut, USA

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the integration and deployment of production dual rail quantum processors.
  • Ensure system requirements are met to successfully deliver production-ready quantum processors.
  • Drive project execution and coordinate technical problem solving across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Resolve electrical, cryogenic, RF, and quantum system integration challenges.
  • Design, implement, and oversee robust testing and validation programs for quantum systems.
  • Develop long-term cross-functional integration strategies to improve system delivery efficiency.
  • Contribute to system resilience engineering and continuous system improvements;
  • Work on cryogenic engineering, RF signaling, and overall system engineering activities.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams throughout the complete system integration lifecycle.
  • Help scale and deliver D-Wave's next-generation dual rail quantum computing systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Physics, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in complex system integration for production programs.
  • Experience managing the execution, planning, and lifecycle of large-scale engineering integration projects.
  • Background in experimental engineering or physics projects within an R&D environment;
  • Experience working with cryogenic systems, vacuum systems, RF, DC, or other low-temperature technologies.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Positive attitude and ability to solve challenging technical problems.

Preferred:

  • Experience integrating large-scale quantum computing systems.
  • Knowledge of quantum processor deployment and validation.
  • Experience with system resilience engineering.
  • Familiarity with production testing and system validation methodologies.
  • Experience working across electrical, cryogenic, RF, and quantum engineering disciplines.

  • Base salary: $106,600 to $159,900 USD per year (New Haven location).
