Job Description
Job Title: Staff Technical Account Manager – U.S. Government. Location: Remote (United States)
This is a client-facing role where you will guide agencies in applying quantum computing solutions effectively; You will collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure successful integration and value delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Present D-Wave’s quantum solutions to prospective government clients, mapping technology to their toughest problems
- Translate product roadmap and strategy to both executive and technical audiences
- Lead technical presentations at events such as conferences and webinars;
- Support marketing efforts through speaking engagements and booth presence
- Host regular technical sessions during onboarding, rollout, and support phases
- Build long-term technical relationships with U.S. government stakeholders;
- Identify new use cases for D-Wave solutions in areas like optimization and logistics
- Act as an internal voice for customer requirements and product feedback;
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly across various formats
- Serve as a trusted advisor with a strong support mindset
- Travel 30%–50% to conferences, customer sites, and events
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field; advanced degree is a plus
- Active TS/SCI clearance required
- 6+ years in technical customer-facing roles (e.g. TAM, Solutions Architect)
- 5+ years of Python programming experience;
- Experience with U.S. government clients including DoD, Intelligence Community, and civilian agencies
- Strong foundation in optimization, algorithms, or applied mathematics
- Familiarity with tools like GitHub and REST APIs;
- Experience in logistics, scheduling, or operations research preferred
- Background in quantum computing is a plus
- Project management experience is a plus
Compensation:
- USD 111,200 – 166,800 per year
- Includes base pay, equity, bonus, and perks (details shared during interview)
