Job Description
Job Title: Solution Business Development Lead, Hyperscale Networking. Location: Palo Alto, California, USA
Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop customer, partner, and ecosystem relationships across hyperscale companies, AI infrastructure providers, network OEMs, and telecommunications companies.
- Lead early co-design engagements between PsiQuantum architects and customer architecture teams before requirements are finalized.
- Own RFI and RFP responses from beginning to end, including technical content and commercial positioning.
- Translate customer requirements into clear and actionable product requirements;
- Represent PsiQuantum in relevant industry standards and consortium activities where interface specifications are being developed.
- Build and maintain a competitive market perspective, including tracking what competitors are shipping, their technical specifications, and the supporting evidence.
- Maintain the commercial narrative used in business reviews.
- Own pipeline forecasting and provide visibility into business development opportunities.
- Work across customer, partner, product, architecture, and technical teams to support strategic opportunities.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in business development or technical sales involving networking or data center hardware.
- Demonstrated design-in wins with hyperscale, cloud, or large network OEM customers rather than channel-volume sales.
- Working knowledge of fabric architecture, including leaf-spine architectures and scale-up versus scale-out systems;
- Understanding of where major costs and power consumption occur within networking and data center infrastructure.
- Experience shaping customer requirements rather than simply responding to established requirements.
- Comfortable selling and positioning products that are still being defined.
- Strong ability to work with technical and commercial stakeholders.
Benefits and Compensation:
The estimated annual base salary range depends on the geographic zone:
- Zone 1, Bay Area and NYC: $154,900 to $182,000
- Zone 2, including Los Angeles and Washington, DC: $139,400 to $163,800
- Zone 3, including Austin, Chicago, and Sacramento: $123,900 to $145,600
- Zone 4, including Nashville, Phoenix/Tempe, and many remote locations: $108,400 to $127,400
