Consultant - Advisory Services - Quantum

Job Description

Job Title: Consultant, Consulting and Advisory Services, Quantum. Location: United States Remote

This role combines client delivery, business development, and practice development across verticals such as Finance, Chemicals and Materials, or Pharmaceuticals; The position is designed for an experienced consulting professional with a strong foundation in quantum computing.

Responsibilities:

Engagement Delivery

• Lead consulting engagements from problem definition to structured analysis and executive level recommendations
• Translate early stage discussions into clearly scoped advisory engagements;
• Ensure high quality delivery and client confidence throughout the engagement lifecycle

Problem Solving

• Break down complex business and technical problems into clear, actionable insights
• Connect quantum computing capabilities and limitations to real business use cases

Client Leadership

• Lead workshops, interviews, and working sessions
• Act as primary advisor to senior client stakeholders
• Guide decision makers through analysis, implications, and strategic options

Business Development

• Identify opportunities to expand existing engagements
• Shape new advisory work aligned with commercial priorities
• Contribute to proposals and statements of work;
• Collaborate with Strategic Account Executives and consulting leadership on account strategy

Cross Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with hardware, software, product, and research teams
• Ensure advisory work reflects Quantinuum’s technical strengths and strategic direction

Practice Development

• Refine advisory methodologies and frameworks
• Develop reusable assets informed by quantum computing expertise
• Contribute to thought leadership across industry verticals

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED minimum
• Minimum 5 years of experience in consulting, advisory, strategy, transformation, or analytical roles in professional services or advanced technology environments
• Strong understanding of quantum computing concepts, capabilities, and limitations
• Ability to synthesize technical and business information into structured recommendations
• Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills;
• Comfortable engaging with senior executives and technical subject matter experts
• Must be a U.S. Person as defined by U.S. regulations, including U.S. citizen, permanent resident, green card holder, asylum status, or refugee status
• Due to U.S. national security requirements, candidates must not be a People’s Republic of China national or Russian national unless also a U.S. citizen

Preferred:

• Experience working within Finance, Chemicals and Materials, or Pharmaceuticals sectors
• Experience shaping and leading complex advisory engagements in emerging technologies

Compensation and Benefits:

• 192,000 to 240,000 USD per year
• Incentive eligible, with range inclusive of bonus target
• Final compensation based on skills, education, experience, and qualifications
