Entry Level Data Scientist

Job Description

Job Title: Entry Level Data Scientist. Location: Tucson, Arizona, United States

As part of this team, you will work with advanced technologies, collaborate with global teams, and contribute to solutions that drive innovation across industries.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and support data-driven and AI-based solutions
  • Build and apply predictive models to support business decision-making
  • Apply artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to large datasets
  • Perform data mining, data discovery, and exploratory data analysis
  • Translate complex data insights into clear and actionable outcomes
  • Design, develop, implement, and support C-based software systems;
  • Contribute to microcode design and development for enterprise storage systems
  • Perform unit testing, formal testing, and field support activities
  • Analyze and debug software and hardware issues in real-time environments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data science solutions into products
  • Work on-site in Tucson, Arizona as required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field with a focus on Data Science
  • Minimum GPA of 3.5
  • Strong programming experience in C, C++, and Python
  • Solid understanding of artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts
  • Experience with data mining, data discovery, and analytics;
  • Working knowledge of Linux, version control systems, and defect tracking tools
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical findings

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Advanced expertise in C programming
  • Experience with AIX, UNIX, or Linux environments
  • Experience designing, testing, releasing, and supporting production code
  • Experience with real-time device driver environments;
  • Strong debugging skills across software and hardware
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple teams
  • Fluent English communication skills

    • Minimum: USD 60,500
    • Maximum: USD 141,300
