Job Description
Job Title: Manager, IT Infrastructure. Location: Milpitas, California, United States
This role focuses on operational resilience, strong security practices, and support for the company’s growing technical teams.
Responsibilities:
- Manage global network systems including LAN, WAN, and VPN.
- Oversee uptime, performance, and availability for all offices and remote teams.
- Build and maintain on-premises server rooms and data center spaces.
- Manage cooling, power, and hardware infrastructure;
- Supervise data center operations and ensure compliance and reliability.
Compute and Storage:
- Deploy and maintain physical servers and storage systems.
- Maintain and automate virtual infrastructure to ensure performance and resource efficiency.
- Integrate hybrid cloud platforms using AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Infrastructure Resilience:
- Design and implement disaster recovery technologies and processes.
- Run audits, simulations, and recovery tests with measurable outcomes.
- Serve as the main infrastructure contact during security incidents;
- Work with Information Security and Physical Security teams to meet organizational security goals.
Monitoring and Performance:
- Implement full monitoring for performance, capacity, and availability.
- Build a culture that identifies root causes and prevents recurring issues.
Collaboration and Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Work with IT and Security teams to build a unified technology roadmap.
- Partner with other departments to meet company-wide objectives;
- Lead network modernization, hybrid-cloud projects, and zero-trust security initiatives.
- Represent IT Infrastructure in planning meetings, audits, and executive reviews.
Operational Governance:
- Oversee lifecycle management and vendor relationships for infrastructure assets.
- Manage budgets, procurement, and vendor SLA compliance.
- Maintain accurate inventory and enforce configuration standards.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and develop a team of infrastructure engineers and support technicians.
- Build a high-trust culture focused on execution and accountability;
- Set clear KPIs and align the team with infrastructure and security goals.
Experience and Qualifications:
- At least 7 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure.
- At least 3 years leading distributed teams.
- Strong background in network security, data center resilience, and incident response.
- Hands-on experience with hybrid cloud, virtualization, and backup technologies.
- Experience with enterprise firewalls such as Palo Alto or Fortinet;
- Understanding of regulatory and security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CMMC.
- Ability to enforce technical standards across IT operations.
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills;
- Preferred certifications include CISSP, CCNP, ITIL, CISM, or AWS/Azure certifications.
Compensation:
- U.S. base pay range: 130,000 to 150,000 USD.
- Bay Area base pay range: 170,000 to 185,000 USD;
- Actual pay depends on experience, location, and business needs.
- Full-time roles include equity and benefits.
