Senior Foundry Test Engineer

Job Description

Job Title: Senior Foundry Test Engineer. Location: Greater Albany, New York, USA

Responsibilities:

• Improve system throughput and capabilities for electrical and optical testing.
• Work with foundry and vendor teams to improve testing throughput and capabilities.
• Collaborate with foundry development teams on test data analysis and test improvements.
• Support sampling strategies and cross-facility test matching;
• Perform data analysis and provide recipe support for remote testing tools.
• Support tools operating across multiple sites and facilities.
• Troubleshoot optical and system-level problems.
• Work with a large, geographically distributed team while maintaining a high degree of independence.
• Work with engineers and technologists in research and development and new product introduction environments.
• Analyze the impact of process variation on measurements;
• Apply knowledge of fab process flows to improve testing and measurement.
• Support optical and electrical characterization at the wafer level.
• Contribute to improvements in foundry test processes and capabilities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree minimum.
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience with wafer-level photonic testing or characterization.
• Experience with fiber- and FAU-based high-speed testing.
• Experience with data analysis;
• Ability to troubleshoot optical and system-level problems.
• Experience working with engineers and technologists in R&D and NPI environments.
• Experience with fab process flows and an understanding of how process variations affect measurements.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a large and diverse team.

Preferred:

• PhD preferred.
• Python, SQL, or other programming experience is highly beneficial.
• Strong experience with optical and electrical test development.
• Experience supporting testing across multiple facilities or remote tools.
• Experience with semiconductor or photonic manufacturing environments.
