Job Description

Job Title: Senior Solutions Architect – Optimization (Remote, USA). Location: Remote (AZ, CA, CO, FL, HI, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MT, NC, NH, NJ, NY, OH, OR, PA, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI)

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy optimization applications using D-Wave's quantum computing platform
• Lead customer engagements to understand business needs and translate them into quantum solutions
• Model and solve real-world problems using hybrid solvers and quantum optimization techniques;
• Work closely with product and development teams to prioritize features based on customer feedback;
• Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders;
• Mentor team members and contribute to a collaborative and inclusive work environment

Qualifications:

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, or related field preferred
• 5+ years of professional experience with Python (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, Networkx)
• Experience with optimization tools (e.g., CPLEX, Gurobi);
• Proven success in consulting or customer-facing technical roles;
• Strong knowledge of mathematical modeling and hybrid optimization techniques
• Familiarity with Git and version control workflows
• Experience working with enterprise production systems and customer environments
• US Government security clearance eligibility required

Preferred:

• Technical leadership in project delivery from scoping to implementation
• Industry experience in logistics, manufacturing, retail, or services;
• Exposure to quantum computing principles and hybrid quantum-classical systems
