Job Description
Job Title: Senior Solutions Architect (US Government) [623]. Location: Remote, United States (Florida)
Responsibilities:
- Build customer applications that run on D-Wave quantum computers and internal tools.
- Deliver quantum optimization projects that achieve measurable business value for customers.
- Work directly with customers to understand business problems, gather requirements, and identify potential quantum solutions.
- Lead brainstorming sessions and consult with customers on possible approaches.
- Model customer use cases mathematically and design and develop quantum hybrid applications.
- Map customer problems to D-Wave's hybrid solvers and advanced quantum computing systems.
- Build, test, and deploy prototypes and production applications;
- Collaborate with delivery leads, application developers, and other solutions architects.
- Maintain relationships with leaders across various D-Wave teams.
- Share customer and project insights with D-Wave's tools and product teams and help prioritize new product features.
- Prepare and present technical information clearly and effectively.
- Provide technical leadership throughout business problem definition, functional requirements, solution design, and implementation.
- Support an inclusive and collaborative working environment.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree, PhD, or equivalent experience in Operations Research, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related technical field is preferred.
- 5+ years of professional experience with Python.
- Strong knowledge of mathematical modeling and optimization techniques.
- Experience working directly with external customers, preferably in a consulting environment.
- Experience identifying requirements and developing solutions for complex business problems.
- Experience with optimization tools and techniques such as Gurobi, CPLEX, genetic algorithms, and simulated annealing.
- Experience building applications that solve complex business problems in production environments.
- Experience with version control software such as Git;
- Strong technical leadership experience from business problem definition through solution implementation.
- Proven record of delivering projects on time with a high degree of predictability and quality.
- Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with a strong sense of urgency and understand project delivery requirements.
- Passion for developing state-of-the-art Python applications.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, and NetworkX.
- Experience in industries such as manufacturing, logistics, retail, or services.
- Ability to obtain a Top Secret or higher security clearance.
- An active security clearance is a plus.
Benefits and Compensation:
- Salary range: $165,000 to $205,000 USD per year for Florida.
- Total rewards include base salary, equity, bonus, perks, and benefits.

- Final compensation is determined based on the candidate's proficiencies within the position level.
