Developer: Automation Development & Testing

Job Description

Job Title: Developer, Automation Development and Testing. Location: Tucson, Arizona, United States
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (minimum 3 days onsite per week)

The position plays a key role in ensuring product quality across cutting-edge systems that support AI and quantum-era computing.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop automated test cases to validate new product features
  • Execute test cases within a test-driven development framework
  • Identify weaknesses, inefficiencies, and defects in existing test systems
  • Improve and redesign test automation frameworks when needed
  • Develop and maintain automation for hardware, firmware, and software components
  • Create test plans, test data, and test execution strategies;
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
  • Collaborate closely with FlashSystem, Storage Scale, and test engineering teams
  • Compare alternative testing approaches and clearly communicate trade-offs
  • Ensure products meet quality, budget, and delivery timelines

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Proficiency in embedded development using C or Python
  • Experience automating test cases using Python, C, Java, or similar languages
  • Basic knowledge of Linux operating systems
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills;
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced engineering environment
  • Strong motivation, willingness to learn, and team-oriented mindset
  • Availability to work onsite in Tucson at least three days per week

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree
  • Experience testing Flash Systems, Storage Scale Systems, or storage products
  • Strong understanding of computer architecture
  • Knowledge of Flash memory technologies
  • Experience with RTL design;
  • Familiarity with Agile development principles and methods

  • Salary range: USD 91,600 to USD 137,400 per year, based on skills, experience, and location

  • Travel requirement: up to 60 percent or three days per week, project dependent
