Job Description
Job Title: Quantum Execution Stack Engineer, Quantum AI. Location: Seattle, Washington, United States
This includes client libraries, intermediate representations, job orchestration systems, and integration with hardware abstraction layers; You will collaborate closely with hardware engineers, software engineers, and research scientists to help move quantum computing toward practical large scale systems.
Responsibilities:
- Scope complex engineering problems and recommend solutions for both short term and long term needs.
- Take ownership of technical vision and roadmaps while influencing other engineers.
- Design and implement systems related to the quantum execution stack and job orchestration.
- Develop client libraries, intermediate representations, and scheduling systems for quantum workloads.
- Write and review high quality code while ensuring best practices in system design and development.
- Contribute to data preparation, optimization, and performance improvements;
- Maintain high quality technical documentation and educational content for internal teams.
- Proactively seek feedback on designs and determine when to enhance existing systems or build new ones.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams including hardware engineers, electronics engineers, and research scientists.
- Contribute ideas and technical solutions to solve complex and ambiguous engineering challenges.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in software development, or 3 years of experience with an advanced degree;
- At least 2 years of experience programming in Rust, C++, or another system level programming language.
Preferred:
- Experience working with real time or high speed systems performing technically demanding tasks such as digital signal processing, graphics processing, or high frequency trading systems.
- Experience collaborating with researchers and highly technical teams across multiple disciplines.
- Knowledge of quantum computing systems or quantum control technologies.
Benefits and Compensation:
- Base salary range: 174,000 USD to 252,000 USD per year.
- Additional compensation may include bonus and equity.

- Paid time off including 20 vacation days per year, accruing at 6.15 hours per pay period during the first five years.
- Sick leave of 40 hours per year where applicable and up to 5 discretionary days per event;
- Maternity leave including short term disability and baby bonding totaling 28 to 30 weeks.
- Baby bonding leave of 18 weeks.
- 13 paid company holidays each year.
