Job Description
Job Title: Senior DevSecOps Engineer. Location: Remote, United States
This role focuses on building and improving DevSecOps pipelines, cloud native platforms, and security practices across the full software development lifecycle; The engineer will work closely with development, operations, and security teams to strengthen application security, automate compliance, and protect mission critical systems.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the subject matter expert for security best practices within the DevOps team
- Promote a culture of security, automation, and continuous improvement through mentoring
- Integrate security controls across every stage of the software development lifecycle
- Manage DAST, IAST, and SAST tools to identify and remediate vulnerabilities;
- Automate security testing and compliance checks within DevOps workflows
- Perform Docker image security scanning and container vulnerability management
- Develop and enforce policy as code for Kubernetes environments;
- Implement and manage infrastructure as code solutions for cloud and on premises systems
- Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to improve security posture
- Continuously evaluate and improve DevSecOps tools, processes, and standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or related field
- 5 or more years of experience integrating security into CI CD pipelines and the software lifecycle
- 3 or more years of hands on experience deploying and securing Kubernetes clusters in production
- Strong experience with policy as code frameworks such as OPA Gatekeeper or Kyverno
- Proven experience with DAST, IAST, and SAST tools;
- 5 or more years of Docker image security scanning and container security experience
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, Helm, or Ansible
- Expert level experience with Linux
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure and their security best practices
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go
- Experience creating executive level security reports and KPIs
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and incident response skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred:
- Experience with eBPF
- Experience with Cilium Tetragon
