Nanofabrication Technician

Job Description

Job Title: Nanofabrication Technician. Location: California, USA

Responsibilities:

  • Operate a variety of nanofabrication equipment, including deposition systems, lithography tools, etching systems, and characterization tools.
  • Execute fabrication processes according to detailed procedures and protocols.
  • Collaborate with engineers and researchers to develop and optimize new fabrication processes.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of process parameters, equipment performance, and experimental results.
  • Follow strict cleanroom protocols and safety guidelines;
  • Work at multiple locations within the Greater Los Angeles area as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent technical training in a related field.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in nanofabrication.
  • Broad knowledge of multiple nanofabrication processes, including thin film deposition, wet processing, lithography, etching, and characterization.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain accurate records.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills;
  • Ability to work flexible hours in a cleanroom environment (40-hour work week).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or a related field.
  • Experience in a shared-use facility, such as a university cleanroom.
  • Knowledge of specific techniques such as atomic layer deposition, electron beam lithography, or deep reactive ion etching.
  • Experience with photonics or optical measurements;
  • Familiarity with statistical process control and data analysis.
