Job Title: Software Engineer, Decoding, Quantum AI. Location: Los Angeles, CA, USA; Goleta, CA, USA

Responsibilities:

• Develop software systems for real-time diagnostics of errors in quantum computations caused by noise and decoherence using syndrome data from quantum computer readout electronics.
• Build software frameworks for benchmarking performance of real-time error diagnostic systems.
• Integrate quantum error correction software with quantum computer control systems;
• Collaborate with researchers to gather software requirements for error correction experiments and simulations.
• Implement best practices in software engineering to maintain robust code quality and system reliability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with C++ and Python.
• Experience designing and developing complex software systems.

Preferred:

• Experience in systems programming, high-performance computing (HPC), real-time computing (RTC), device driver development, kernel development, concurrency, or low-level optimization;
• Knowledge of quantum computing, quantum error correction, classical coding theory, linear algebra, or statistics.
• Familiarity with FPGA, DSP, or GPU programming.
• Familiarity with graph algorithms.

Benefits and Compensation:

• Base salary range: $147,000–$211,000 per year.
• Additional compensation may include bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits.
• Compensation varies based on role, level, location, skills, and experience.
