Strategic Alliance Manager, AI for Chemistry

Job Description

Job Title: Senior Strategic Alliance Manager, AI for Chemistry and Materials Science (Higher Education & Research). Location: Remote (US, CA, Santa Clara, USA)

Responsibilities:

  • Identify leading researchers and laboratories in AI-driven chemistry and materials science across universities and research institutions.
  • Build and manage strategic partnerships with key academic and industry opinion leaders.
  • Define and execute NVIDIA’s engagement strategy for developer communities in higher education and research.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, marketing, and applied research teams to shape platform adoption strategies;
  • Evangelize NVIDIA technologies by engaging with researchers and developers through teaching kits and technical collaborations.
  • Organize and host technical events such as meetups, hackathons, workshops, and lectures.
  • Represent NVIDIA at scientific, academic, and industry conferences.
  • Provide feedback to internal product teams based on research community needs and trends.

Qualifications:

  • PhD in computational chemistry, materials science, computer science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in machine learning, interatomic potentials, generative modeling, or quantum chemistry workflows in academic or research settings.
  • Strong understanding of AI applications in chemical and materials research;
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred:

  • High-impact research publications in AI for chemistry, molecular modeling, or materials discovery.
  • Experience with CUDA, parallel programming, or performance-focused computing.
  • Contributions to open-source projects in simulation, chemistry, or materials science;
  • Experience managing technical partnerships across multiple stakeholders and teams.

Benefits and Compensation:

  • Base salary range:
    • Level 4: $184,000 – $287,500 USD
    • Level 5: $224,000 – $356,500 USD
  • Eligible for equity and performance-based benefits.
