Job Description
Job Title: AI Foundations - Research Engineer. Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy server-side applications using programming languages such as Python, Java, Ruby, and Node.js.
- Develop scalable back-end systems that integrate seamlessly with front-end applications.
- Design, build, and maintain secure database solutions while implementing industry best practices for database security.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and web services for efficient communication between applications;
- Build and implement artificial intelligence solutions involving machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and research teams to understand technical requirements and deliver reliable software solutions.
- Contribute to research and development efforts focused on next-generation AI technologies.
- Work in an Agile development environment while participating in software architecture and back-end design discussions.
- Support innovation across AI, quantum computing, hybrid cloud, and high-performance computing initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience working in Agile software development environments.
- Proficiency in programming languages including Python, Java, Ruby, and Node.js.
- Experience designing, developing, and securing databases;
- Experience developing RESTful APIs and web services.
- Understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, including machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing.
- Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of brain-inspired algorithms.
- Experience with learning with memories and knowledge representation and reasoning.
- Familiarity with symbolic and trainable logic.
- Understanding of causal inference and knowledge induction.
- Experience with computer vision and natural language processing.
- Exposure to quantum computing and neuromorphic architectures for next-generation AI.
- Interest in applying emerging AI technologies to research and enterprise solutions.
Benefits and Compensation:
- Annual salary range of $111,000 to $191,000, based on experience, skills, and location.
