Job Description
Job Title: Staff Automation Engineer – Internal Audit. Location: Remote, United States
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and map end-to-end audit processes from risk assessment to issue remediation to identify automation opportunities.
- Apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to eliminate inefficiencies such as manual data entry and redundant workflows.
- Design scalable, modular audit workflows for Financial, IT, and Operational domains.
AI Agent Orchestration and Prompt Engineering
- Build and deploy AI-assisted workflows using tools such as Vellum AI, Copilot Studio, and Claude.
- Automate control mapping to frameworks such as COSO and NIST;
- Develop automated workflows for summarizing meetings and generating audit documentation.
- Generate plain-language audit findings from complex data anomalies.
- Maintain a centralized prompt registry and agent library for consistent AI usage.
Automation and Ecosystem Integration
- Design agent-driven automation workflows using platforms like Power Automate or Make.com.
- Integrate systems with GRC platforms such as AuditBoard and Workiva;
- Utilize tools like DataSnipper for automated document matching and data validation.
- Build real-time dashboards using Power BI or Tableau to visualize risk insights.
Governance, Privacy, and Auditability
- Ensure AI systems comply with model risk management and data privacy standards such as GDPR and CCPA.
- Implement human validation checkpoints in automated workflows.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Accounting, or a related technical field.
- 5 to 8+ years of experience in audit transformation, process engineering, or business systems engineering.
- Hands-on experience with AI orchestration tools such as Vellum, LangChain, or Copilot Studio.
- Strong experience with automation platforms such as Power Automate, Zapier, Make, or n8n.
Preferred:
- Background in manufacturing or government contracting environments.
- Experience with SQL, Python, and AI-based audit tools such as DataSnipper, Alteryx, or MindBridge.
- Knowledge of data governance and data platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks.
- Strong interest in AI technologies, continuous learning, and experimentation with advanced solutions.

- Base salary range: $111,692 to $145,649, with additional bonus and equity.

Other Information:
- Travel requirement: approximately 10%.
