Director, Investor Relations

Job Description

Job Title: Director, Investor Relations. Location: Palo Alto, California, USA

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute PsiQuantum's investor relations strategy for existing and prospective investors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, analysts, and other stakeholders.
  • Create investor targeting strategies and establish long-term engagement plans.
  • Build processes and systems for a high-performing investor relations function;
  • Develop clear investor messaging around company milestones, technical achievements, and market positioning.
  • Translate complex quantum computing and engineering concepts into clear, investor-friendly communications.
  • Manage day-to-day communication with existing investors, including updates and information requests.
  • Support fundraising activities by preparing investor materials, coordinating due diligence, and assisting with investor outreach.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments to refine investor messaging.
  • Partner with executive leadership on board meetings, investor updates, and strategic planning.
  • Prepare and maintain investor presentations, pitch decks, data rooms, FAQs, and other investor materials.
  • Track investor feedback and sentiment, providing insights to leadership;
  • Maintain investor databases, communication lists, and records of investor interactions.

Qualifications:

  • 8 to 10+ years of experience in the computing or technology industry with a focus on investor relations, finance, equity research, venture capital, or investment banking.
  • Direct experience supporting or executing fundraising processes, including investor communications and due diligence.
  • Strong understanding of how investors evaluate high-growth and deep technology companies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to simplify complex technical concepts into clear and structured business narratives.
  • Experience working with senior executives, founders, or investment partners;
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong financial knowledge, including valuation methods, financial models, and key business metrics.
  • Excellent judgment, integrity, and ability to handle confidential financial information.
  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Collaborative mindset with honesty, integrity, humility, and enthusiasm.

Preferred:

  • Experience in deep technology, semiconductor, climate technology, or quantum computing industries.
  • Experience with late-stage venture funding, crossover investors, or growth-stage financing.
  • IPO or public company experience.
  • Experience working closely with portfolio companies or in an operational business role.
  • Corporate FP&A experience is a plus.
  • Established network within the institutional investor community.

Benefits and Compensation:

  • U.S. base salary range: $153,000 to $231,000 per year.
  • Bay Area base salary range: $218,000 to $256,000 per year.
  • Eligible for equity as part of the total compensation package.

Other Information:

  • Reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and works closely with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), executive leadership, finance, and communications teams.
  • Position focuses on maximizing shareholder value and strengthening PsiQuantum's presence within the investment community.
  • Experience in quantum computing or other technically complex industries is highly desirable.
