Group Product Manager

Job Description

Rewritten Job Description: Group Product Manager, Quantum Networking. Location: Remote (U.S.-based), or hybrid from College Park, MD or Bothell, WA

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of IonQ’s quantum networking product portfolio, integrating both hardware and software components.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, research, and engineering teams to identify and address customer needs and translate them into product requirements.
  • Define product strategy and vision for quantum networking, including use-case evaluation and feature prioritization;
  • Understand the competitive landscape of quantum communication and assess differentiators and value propositions;
  • Contribute to the design of next-generation enterprise-grade quantum computing platforms, ensuring synergy between networking and core computing functions.
  • Build internal alignment and communicate customer-centric perspectives through reports and executive-level presentations.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years in product management or equivalent experience, ideally involving complex technical products.
  • Proven track record in data-driven decision-making and quantitative analysis for product valuation.
  • Strong ability to synthesize technical insights into accessible business-focused narratives;
  • Excellent communication skills, especially for executive and cross-functional presentations;
  • Bachelor's degree in physics, computer science, or a related technical field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
  • Experience with enterprise hardware, high-performance data centers, or photonics/quantum networks is a plus.

Preferred:

  • Background in quantum technologies, especially quantum networking.
  • Familiarity with quantum information science, including photonics and teleportation-based communication models.
  • Advanced degree in a technical field or an MBA;
  • Experience managing products deployed in secure or high-availability environments.
