PMO Manager - Haas Programs

Job Description

Job Title: PMO Manager – HaaS (Hardware as a Service) Programs. Location: Broomfield, CO, USA | Full-time | Hybrid

This role will oversee complex quantum hardware projects, manage customer contracts, and guide a team of project managers to deliver high-performance quantum solutions; The manager will align R&D and business strategies to advance Quantinuum’s mission in the global quantum revolution.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage project managers working on complex quantum hardware programs.
  • Oversee planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation for HaaS deliverables.
  • Coordinate across cross-functional teams to ensure smooth communication and execution;
  • Report progress, risks, and opportunities to leadership through dashboards and presentations.
  • Set programmatic goals, define milestones, and track KPIs for R&D performance.
  • Identify opportunities to accelerate development and adopt new quantum technologies.
  • Manage risks, escalation procedures, and alignment of hardware R&D with business goals.
  • Mentor senior and junior engineers to build a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • Conduct regular project reviews, retrospectives, and performance assessments;
  • Collaborate with leadership to support the company’s long-term quantum hardware strategy.
  • Travel up to 25% for coordination and partner engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or engineering field.
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in technical program management;
  • Must be a U.S. Person (citizen, permanent resident, or holder of asylum/refugee status).
  • Must not be a national of China or Russia unless also a U.S. citizen (due to national security regulations).

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in a STEM field.
  • Background in quantum computing, optics, photonics, or experimental physics.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification;
  • Experience in product development and full project life-cycle management.
  • Proven success leading early-stage technology and R&D programs.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and time management skills;
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities for executive and client discussions.
  • Demonstrated ability to forecast challenges and manage innovation-focused teams.

Compensation:

  • Salary Range: $158,000 – $197,000 annually (inclusive of incentive bonus).
  • Final pay depends on skills, education, and experience.
