Job Description
Job Title: Quantum Computing Software Intern – Summer 2025. Location: Santa Clara, California, USA
Responsibilities:
- Develop proof-of-concept implementations of quantum algorithms and tools.
- Collaborate with engineering and research teams to understand software use cases and technical requirements.
- Assist in the productization of new features, including development, debugging, testing, and documentation;
- Analyze the performance of GPU and CPU-based implementations and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Present your progress and results throughout the internship.
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a Master’s or Ph.D. program in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
- Familiarity with quantum algorithms and hybrid classical/quantum systems.
- Strong programming skills in C++ and Python;
- Solid foundation in numerical methods and algorithms, especially linear algebra.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation abilities.
Preferred:
- Experience with Tensor Networks or State Vector methods for simulating quantum circuits.
- Knowledge of CUDA C++ and parallel programming techniques.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly pay range: $18–$71 USD (based on experience, education level, and location).
