Job Title: Quantum Hardware Lead, Deployment Operations. Location: Brooklyn Park, MN or Broomfield, CO (On-site)
Quantinuum is seeking a highly qualified Quantum Hardware Lead, Deployment Operations to oversee installation and service of Helios, our next-generation quantum computer with 96 physical qubits and error rates below 0.1%; Helios will be offered for cloud access in 2025 and later for on-premises deployment; This role is central to our Hardware-as-a-Service business, following the successful deployment of REIMEI at RIKEN, Japan.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the process to deliver, install, and validate Helios systems with a team of engineers.
- Collaborate with internal teams to plan resources needed for deployment;
- Participate in system integration and validation at Quantinuum sites before customer delivery.
- Continuously improve deployment processes and provide feedback across hardware and software layers.
- Contribute to Design for Producibility and Deploy-ability for future systems;
- Ensure focus on business success, technical progress, and strong professional interactions.
- Travel domestically and internationally (up to 1 month at a time during deployments, 25% travel otherwise).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree minimum.
- 8+ years of experience as a technical contributor in hardware operations, production, R&D, or service environments.
- Eligibility to complete international travel;
- Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident/green card holder, or granted asylum/refugee status).
- Must not be a national of the People’s Republic of China or Russia unless also a U.S. citizen (due to national security requirements).
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test (safety-sensitive position).
Preferred:
- Demonstrated experience installing complex multi-component systems using well-defined processes.
- Proven ability to develop documentation and processes for system delivery, installation, and validation.
- Background in technical documentation, test planning, lifecycle management, and process handoff;
- Experience with optical, electrical, mechanical, computing, networking, and integrated system assemblies.
- Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
- Expertise in identifying technical or production improvements and applying them to future designs.

- Competitive base salary: $150,000 – $190,000 annually (bonus eligible).
