Job Title: Research Intern, PhD, Summer 2026. Job Type: Internship (Full-time, 12–14 weeks). Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a clear research agenda.
- Collaborate with team members, managers, and partner groups to deliver results.
- Design experiments, prototypes, and system architectures;
- Contribute to advancing research in AI, machine perception, networking, storage, quantum information science, and related areas.
- Share outcomes through publications and open-source contributions where applicable.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a PhD program in Computer Science, Statistics, Biostatistics, Linguistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Economics, Natural Sciences, or a related technical field;
- Experience in at least one area of computer science, such as machine learning, natural language understanding, deep learning, optimization, quantum information science, or data science.
Preferred:
- In the penultimate academic year or returning to a degree program after the internship.
- Available to work full-time for 12 weeks in the US outside of university term time.
- Prior research experience (internships, labs, publications).
- Contributions to research communities, including published work in top journals or conferences.
- Proficiency in one or more general-purpose programming languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, C/C++, etc.).
Compensation and Benefits:
- US base salary range: $113,000–$150,000 (pro-rated for internship duration).
- Additional benefits include professional development, mentorship, and networking opportunities.
- Compensation does not include bonus, equity, or other benefits.
