Job Description
Job Title: Research Scientist – Quantum Theory and Computational Science. Location: Yorktown Heights, NY; San Jose, CA; Cambridge, MA; New York; Massachusetts; California, United States
Responsibilities:
- Identify feasible quantum algorithms and application areas for early fault-tolerant quantum devices;
- Benchmark resource requirements based on problem parameters, implementation methods, and circuit synthesis strategies.
- Develop and investigate compiler optimizations for quantum circuits targeting fault-tolerant architectures.
Qualifications:
- Doctorate degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a closely related field;
- Experience in quantum algorithm design and analysis, quantum compilers, computer architecture, or related areas in quantum computation.
- Proficiency in programming languages for scientific computing (e.g., Python or equivalent).
Preferred:
- Familiarity with high-performance computing languages (e.g., Rust, C++, or similar).
- Experience in large-scale software engineering projects involving multiple contributors and languages.
