Software Engineer, CUDA-Q

Job Description

Job Title: Software Engineer, CUDA-Q. Location: WA, CA -Remote

You will work on high-performance software that connects GPUs, quantum processors, and distributed systems; This position is ideal for engineers who enjoy deep system work, compilers, and parallel computing and who want to shape the future of computing.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and improve core infrastructure for CUDA-Q, focusing on communication and execution across multiple processors
  • Develop scalable and extensible toolchains that integrate quantum hardware specific components
  • Work closely with architects, product managers, and engineering teams to design robust systems;
  • Solve complex problems across compilers, high-performance computing, and quantum computing
  • Review and refine software designs with peers to ensure quality and performance
  • Improve development processes and infrastructure to speed up delivery and reliability

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Physics, or a related engineering field
    Master’s degree or PhD preferred, or equivalent professional experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in large-scale software development
  • Proven experience building reliable and high-performance production software
  • Strong knowledge of GPU programming and parallel computing systems;
  • Solid understanding of compiler fundamentals and performance profiling
  • Ability to learn new technical domains quickly and take on complex challenges
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred:

  • Experience with quantum computing hardware or control systems
  • Background in compiler optimization or code generation for quantum architectures
  • Experience with FPGA programming and hardware description languages;
  • Deep knowledge of compiler toolchains such as LLVM or MLIR
  • Strong interest in system design and extensible software architectures

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Base salary range for Level 3: USD 148,000 to USD 235,750
  • Base salary range for Level 4: USD 184,000 to USD 287,500
  • Salary is based on location, experience, and role level;
  • Equity grants and full benefits package included
