Job Description
Job Title: Software Engineer, CUDA-Q Libraries. Location: Remote (US — California, Texas, Washington, Massachusetts)
NVIDIA’s Quantum Computing team is looking for a skilled software engineer to help build the future of hybrid quantum-classical computing; You will work on the CUDA-Q platform, focused on developing real-time systems and libraries for quantum error correction using cutting-edge hardware like GPUs and FPGAs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize AI-based real-time decoding algorithms in collaboration with NVIDIA's Applied Research team.
- Build training infrastructure for the CUDA-Q Quantum Error Correction (QEC) library.
- Create and maintain hardware/software interfaces for hybrid quantum-classical computing;
- Solve complex problems at the intersection of high-performance computing (HPC) and quantum computing.
- Improve tools, processes, and infrastructure to speed up development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Physics, or related engineering field. Master’s or Ph.D. preferred.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in relevant software engineering roles.
- Strong skills in C/C++ programming;
- Experience with parallel programming on heterogeneous systems (CPUs, GPUs, and FPGAs).
- Ability to quickly learn new domains and technologies.
- Solid communication and teamwork skills;
- Experience building reliable software for large-scale systems.
Preferred:
- Background in quantum computing hardware or control systems.
- Experience with Quantum Error Correction and decoding algorithms.
- Track record of performance optimization in real-time systems;
- Focus on building extensible and maintainable software.
Benefits & Compensation:
- Competitive base salary depending on experience and location:
- Level 3: $148,000 – $235,750
- Level 4: $184,000 – $287,500
