Job Title: Sr. Science Recruiter, Amazon University Talent Acquisition, AUTA Science Recruiting Team. Location: Seattle, WA, USA
Responsibilities:
- Partner with Amazon business and recruiting teams to understand student hiring needs.
- Build strategies to attract, source, assess, and hire students for specialized scientific roles.
- Develop early-career talent strategies in collaboration with full-lifecycle recruiters, industry hiring teams, and other stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to improve candidate experience and recruiting scheduling efficiency.
- Manage and track candidate and campus information;
- Consolidate and analyze recruiting results and make recommendations for improvement.
- Use metrics to manage customer expectations, business goals, and recruiting performance.
- Conduct bi-weekly business reviews, providing metrics and status updates to customers and stakeholders.
- Develop scalable recruiting plans with clear deliverables, timelines, and formal tracking processes.
- Develop recruitment strategies that support Amazon's long-term growth.
- Implement new recruiting processes and standard operating procedures;
- Participate in special projects, recruiting initiatives, pilot programs, and process improvement projects.
- Build relationships with business leaders, cross-functional partners, and Amazon University Talent Acquisition teams.
- Support sourcing and hiring for Applied Science, Research Science, and Data Science roles across Amazon, including internships, postdoctoral positions, and campus full-time roles.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Knowledge and experience working with candidates associated with top scientific publications and conferences.
- Broad scientific domain knowledge across disciplines including Large Language Models (LLMs), Computer Vision (CV), Natural Language Processing (NLP), Augmented Reality (AR), Quantum, and related fields;
- Ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and work autonomously.
- Strong planning, prioritization, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in high-volume and ambiguous environments.
- Experience using metrics to evaluate and demonstrate recruiting results.
Preferred:
- Experience attending or recruiting at in-person trade shows and career fairs associated with leading scientific conferences such as NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, and CVPR.
- Experience recruiting specialized scientific or technical talent.
- Experience developing scalable recruiting processes and programs.
Benefits and Compensation:
- Base salary: $137,900 to $186,500 per year for Seattle, Washington.
