Job Description
Job Title: Assembly, Integration, & Testing Engineer, Quantum Computing. Location: Pasadena, CA, USA
Responsibilities:
- Perform assembly, integration, and testing of complex electro-mechanical systems for quantum computing.
- Operate and maintain cryogenic systems, including hardware integration and reconfiguration.
- Support quantum processor integration within cryogenic environments.
- Assemble, integrate, test, and operate cryogenic RF and microwave hardware systems.
- Maintain and service cryogenic test setups and laboratory infrastructure;
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams on system reconfiguration, scheduling, and integration of new devices.
- Troubleshoot hardware and system-level issues and provide technical solutions.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation for systems, processes, and procedures.
- Support R&D lab organization and infrastructure management;
- Collaborate with cryogenic hardware engineers on new hardware development projects.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or technical degree in a related field.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in mechanical and electrical assembly or integration.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles;
- Basic data analysis, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
- Experience with precision electro-mechanical assembly, including parts cleaning, tolerances, torqueing, and cable management.
- Experience using precision mechanical tools.
- Hands-on experience with cryogenic test setups such as dilution refrigerators.
- Experience assembling and testing microwave components and wiring harnesses.
- Ability to assemble, test, rework, and maintain PCB electronics and cable assemblies.
- Familiarity with CAD tools such as SolidWorks or Inventor;
- Familiarity with project management tools like MS Project.
- Experience with manual machining.
- Ability to quickly learn new technical concepts and techniques.
Benefits and Compensation:
- Salary range: $122,600 – $160,000 per year, depending on experience, qualifications, and location.
