Job Description

Job Title: Assembly, Integration, & Testing Engineer, Quantum Computing. Location: Pasadena, CA, USA

Responsibilities:

• Perform assembly, integration, and testing of complex electro-mechanical systems for quantum computing.
• Operate and maintain cryogenic systems, including hardware integration and reconfiguration.
• Support quantum processor integration within cryogenic environments.
• Assemble, integrate, test, and operate cryogenic RF and microwave hardware systems.
• Maintain and service cryogenic test setups and laboratory infrastructure;
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams on system reconfiguration, scheduling, and integration of new devices.
• Troubleshoot hardware and system-level issues and provide technical solutions.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation for systems, processes, and procedures.
• Support R&D lab organization and infrastructure management;
• Collaborate with cryogenic hardware engineers on new hardware development projects.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree or technical degree in a related field.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in mechanical and electrical assembly or integration.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles;
• Basic data analysis, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

• Experience with precision electro-mechanical assembly, including parts cleaning, tolerances, torqueing, and cable management.
• Experience using precision mechanical tools.
• Hands-on experience with cryogenic test setups such as dilution refrigerators.
• Experience assembling and testing microwave components and wiring harnesses.
• Ability to assemble, test, rework, and maintain PCB electronics and cable assemblies.
• Familiarity with CAD tools such as SolidWorks or Inventor;
• Familiarity with project management tools like MS Project.
• Experience with manual machining.
• Ability to quickly learn new technical concepts and techniques.

• Salary range: $122,600 – $160,000 per year, depending on experience, qualifications, and location.
