Electrical Assembly, Integration, & Testing Engineer

Job Description

Job Title: Electrical Assembly, Integration, and Testing Engineer, Quantum Computing. Location: Pasadena, CA, USA

Responsibilities:

  • Perform precision electrical assembly, integration, and packaging of electro-mechanical components, including PCB assemblies, cable assemblies, and quantum processors.
  • Execute high-quality hand soldering, including connector attachment, SMT reflow, PCB rework, and DC/RF cable routing.
  • Conduct electrical testing using multimeters, Vector Network Analyzers (VNAs), and automated test equipment for continuity, isolation, and transmission measurements.
  • Assemble components designed for high vacuum and cryogenic environments.
  • Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation for accurate assembly.
  • Wire and integrate qubit control electronic racks;
  • Follow strict electrostatic discharge (ESD) and cleanliness protocols.
  • Maintain build logs, generate assembly procedures, and update documentation.
  • Inspect vendor assemblies and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support electrical integration, scheduling, and documentation.
  • Contribute to development and improvement of electrical assembly procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or technical degree in a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in mechanical and electrical assembly or integration.
  • Experience with product-level validation testing (thermal, EMC/EMI, shock, cycle testing).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
  • Strong understanding of basic electrical engineering principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience with precision electro-mechanical assembly, including parts cleaning, tolerances, torqueing, and cable management.
  • Familiarity with precision mechanical tools and manual machining.
  • Experience working with cryogenic test setups such as dilution refrigerators.
  • Experience with microwave and low-frequency wiring harness assembly;
  • Ability to assemble, test, rework, and maintain PCB electronics and cable systems.
  • Familiarity with CAD tools such as SolidWorks or Inventor.
  • Familiarity with MS Project.
  • Ability to quickly learn new techniques and technical concepts.

Benefits and Compensation:

  • Salary range: $122,600 – $160,000 per year.
