Job Description
Job Title: Engineering Program Management Lead. Location: Malta, NY, USA
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and management of detailed schedules, budgets, resource requirements, and work plans for technical deliverables across complex hardware R&D programs.
- Coordinate activities across multiple technical and operational teams.
- Lead regular status meetings, project reviews, and end-of-task retrospectives.
- Communicate strategy, scope changes, risks, and progress effectively between technical teams, partners, product and program management, and leadership.
- Prepare and maintain reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate program status;
- Identify opportunities to accelerate schedules and develop technologies needed to achieve program objectives.
- Manage program risks and opportunities throughout the planning and execution lifecycle.
- Adapt program tactics and strategies to support diverse, early-stage, and highly technical projects.
- Promote collaboration and a strong teamwork mentality across multidisciplinary teams.
- Proactively identify potential challenges and develop solutions to prevent obstacles from affecting program goals.
- Travel up to 25% as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- At least 8 years of experience in technical program management.
- Experience managing schedules, risks, budgets, resources, and technical deliverables.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities;
- Experience working in highly collaborative, technical environments.
- Ability to work with diverse technical and operational teams.
- Resourcefulness and the ability to anticipate and address challenges proactively.
- Due to contractual requirements, candidates must be a U.S. Person, defined as a U.S. citizen, permanent resident or green card holder, or worker granted asylum or refugee status.
- Due to U.S. Government national security requirements, candidates must not be a national of the People's Republic of China or Russia unless they are also a U.S. citizen.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in a STEM field.
- Background in quantum computing, optics and photonics, or experimental physics.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Experience in product development.
- Experience taking technology-based projects through the full lifecycle, including schedule, risk, and budget management.
- Experience working on first-of-its-kind or early-stage technology products and projects.
- Strong understanding of risk and opportunity analysis and management processes related to program planning.
- Experience establishing organizational and time-management guidelines for others.

- Salary range of $164,000 to $205,000 per year.

- This is a full-time Quantinuum position working on a supplier site in Malta, New York.
