Fabrication Data & Yield Hardware Engineer

Job Description

Job Title: Fabrication Data and Yield Hardware Engineer – Quantum AI. Location: Goleta, CA, USA

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze fabrication and production data to detect yield issues and determine root causes.
  • Collaborate with fabrication and process engineers to develop solutions and improve production yield;
  • Develop and maintain data analysis tools, dashboards, and visualizations to support engineering decisions.
  • Conduct failure analysis on quantum hardware to recommend and implement corrective actions;
  • Utilize statistical process control (SPC) to monitor and maintain process stability and quality.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience with conventional microfabrication techniques (e.g., lithography, deposition, etching).
  • At least 1 year of experience in data analysis and experiment planning;
  • Familiarity with microfabrication characterization techniques.

Preferred:

  • Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related disciplines.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, C, or C++.
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools such as NumPy, Pandas, R, or JMP;
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes and equipment.

Benefits:

  • US base salary range: $126,000 – $181,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
  • Final compensation determined by role, level, and experience;
