Digital Verification Engineer

Job Description

Job Title: Staff Digital Verification Engineer. Location: Palo Alto, California, United States

The Staff Digital Verification Engineer will work within the Electronic Sub-Systems team to verify digital microarchitectures for FPGAs and ASICs that support PsiQuantum’s scalable quantum computing systems.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain design verification (DV) testbenches, including checkers, monitors, scoreboards, assertions, and functional coverage.
• Create and manage test plans and test cases covering complex digital design blocks.
• Work closely with design teams to debug failures, ensure coverage closure, and resolve issues.
• Conduct regression testing, failure analysis, and code reviews;
• Document processes, test cases, and verification reports.
• Support FPGA bring-up and collaborate across departments and time zones.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
• 12+ years of industry experience in digital design verification.
• Strong background in SystemVerilog and Universal Verification Methodology (UVM).
• Experience developing Monitors, Scoreboards, and Sequencers using SystemVerilog and UVM.
• Ability to build constrained-random verification environments;
• Experience in FPGA design, silicon bring-up, and scripting languages like Python.
• Familiarity with standard bus protocols (AXI, SPI, I2C) is a plus.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Compensation:

• U.S. Base Pay Range: $190,000 – $215,000 USD
• Bay Area Range: $200,000 – $235,000 USD
• Compensation may vary based on education, experience, and business needs.
