Job Description
Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst – Hardware Engineering. Location: Santa Clara, CA, USA
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end financial planning and analysis for global research and advanced technology organizations.
- Manage annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, headcount planning, variance analysis, and long-range strategic investment planning.
- Support financial oversight of engineering investments including next-generation silicon technologies, memory innovation, wafer fabrication qualifications, and long-term R&D initiatives;
- Partner with engineering and research teams across AI, robotics, graphics, autonomous systems, and quantum computing to evaluate investment opportunities and align financial resources.
- Lead financial planning for global labs, infrastructure, and equipment investments for hardware engineering teams.
- Build scalable financial reporting frameworks for budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Use advanced tools and platforms such as Python, SQL, Power BI, Databricks, and AI tools to improve financial processes and decision-making.
- Translate complex financial data into strategic insights for senior leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Data Science, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in FP&A or financial analysis in a high-tech or manufacturing environment.
- Strong expertise in financial modeling and data analytics.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, or similar analytical tools;
- Experience working with AI-driven productivity tools and analytics platforms.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
- Experience in semiconductor or advanced manufacturing industries.
- Strong understanding of technology development cycles and R&D investment planning.
- Familiarity with AI, automation, and data visualization tools;
- Strong interest in STEM fields and emerging technologies.
Benefits and Compensation:
- Base salary range: $104,000 – $201,250 depending on level, experience, and location.
