Job Title: Director, Revenue. Location: College Park, Maryland, United States (Remote or Hybrid option available)
Responsibilities:
Revenue Strategy and Deal Architecture
- Act as the primary technical advisor to Sales, Deal Desk, and Legal teams during contract negotiations.
- Structure commercial deals aligned with ASC 606 accounting standards and company objectives.
- Support revenue strategy across complex quantum computing, networking, sensing, and security offerings.
Leadership and Team Management
- Lead and mentor a high-performing revenue team.
- Build a culture of technical excellence, ownership, and career development.
- Scale revenue operations to support global growth and acquisitions.
Revenue Recognition and Accounting Governance
- Own revenue recognition for complex, multi-year hardware and service contracts.
- Manage percentage-of-completion (POC) accounting and cost-to-cost modeling.
- Lead estimate-at-completion (EAC) reviews and forecasting accuracy.
Cross Functional Collaboration
- Act as a bridge between Finance, Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain teams.
- Ensure engineering milestones and cost data are accurately reflected in revenue recognition.
- Partner with IT and business systems teams to optimize ERP and CRM platforms such as NetSuite and Salesforce.
Compliance and Audit Management
- Serve as the main point of contact for external auditors on revenue matters.
- Prepare technical accounting documentation and ensure SOX compliance.
- Maintain audit-ready revenue processes and controls.
Mergers and Acquisitions
- Lead revenue due diligence for acquisitions.
- Integrate acquired contracts into company accounting frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with ASC 606 across post-merger operations.
Qualifications:
- 12 to 15+ years of experience in revenue accounting or financial leadership roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required. CPA certification required.
- Deep expertise in ASC 606 revenue recognition standards;
- Strong experience with long-term contract accounting and complex revenue models.
- Proven ability to work with Sales and Legal teams on contract structuring.
- Strong analytical skills in cost-to-cost modeling and revenue forecasting.
Preferred:
- Experience at a large government contractor such as Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, or Leidos.
- Background in Big 4 accounting firms with audit or technical advisory experience;
- Familiarity with quantum computing or willingness to quickly learn technical quantum concepts.

- Base salary range: $169,869 to $221,514 annually.
