Job Description

Job Title: Senior Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Engineer – Job ID: 384. Location: Broomfield, CO or Brooklyn Park, MN
(On-site, Full-time)

You will help maintain safety standards and compliance with regulations in advanced tech environments, including those involving lasers, electromagnetic, and cryogenic hazards; This position plays a key role in building a strong, consistent safety culture across all sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain HSE procedures and programs that meet international and local regulatory standards.
  • Oversee hazardous materials management globally, including handling, storage, transport, and disposal.
  • Deliver tailored HSE training to global staff, aligned with regional laws and best practices;
  • Monitor regulatory changes and ensure proactive compliance across all operating regions.
  • Use digital tools and HSE software to track, analyze, and report safety performance;
  • Support company-wide sustainability programs like energy efficiency and carbon reduction.
  • Conduct site audits, inspections, and risk assessments to mitigate HSE risks;
  • Lead and assist in investigations of workplace incidents to improve future safety.
  • Act as a visible champion for health and safety across the organization.
  • Travel up to 15% to support on-site needs and safety priorities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree minimum.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety roles.
  • U.S. person status required (U.S. citizen, green card holder, or protected under asylum/refugee status);
  • Not a national of the People’s Republic of China or Russia unless also a U.S. citizen (due to national security requirements).

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of HSE experience, ideally in tech or industrial settings.
  • Certifications like CHMM, ASP, CSP, or similar;
  • Experience managing cryogenic, laser, and electromagnetic hazards.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
  • Skilled in using HSE software tools.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary range: $114,000 – $143,000
  • Non-incentive eligible
