Process Integration Engineer

Job Description

Job Title: Principal Process Integration Engineer. Location: United States (Remote)

Responsibilities:

  • Lead process development initiatives in collaboration with semiconductor foundry partners.
  • Design, execute, and analyze experiments using statistical methods to improve process performance and yield.
  • Own and optimize critical fabrication steps or modules within the superconducting IC process flow.
  • Maintain and improve the process of record (POR) for production systems.
  • Drive yield, performance, and reliability improvements through continuous process optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, device, and reliability engineering.
  • Work closely with foundries to troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement production improvements.
  • Document and standardize fabrication processes, specifications, and control plans.
  • Communicate technical results and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in process integration (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of semiconductor fabrication processes including:
    • Thin film deposition
    • Lithography
    • Etch
    • Diffusion
    • Wet processing
    • Chemical Mechanical Planarization (CMP)
  • Experience in large-scale semiconductor manufacturing or R&D environments.
  • Strong understanding of process integration and its impact on yield, performance, and reliability.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred:

  • Experience working with superconducting technologies or quantum device fabrication.
  • Background in LSI manufacturing or advanced semiconductor R&D.
  • Deep understanding of statistical process control and yield optimization methods.
