Job Description

Job Title: Signal and Power Integrity/System Hardware Developer Engineer. Location: Rochester, Minnesota, United States (Hybrid)

This role involves high-speed serial channel analysis, power domain analysis, lab validation, and model-to-hardware correlation to ensure next-generation quantum hardware designs meet performance and quality goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct strategic analysis of pre-production hardware designs using electromagnetic modeling tools, scripting, and transient simulation methods.
  • Validate and improve hardware performance through pre-production analysis and correlation with lab measurements;
  • Perform laboratory verification and characterization on early-stage hardware using tools such as oscilloscopes, VNAs, TDRs, and Phase Noise Analyzers.
  • Collaborate with global teams and leadership to refine strategies and meet aggressive product timelines.
  • Continuously improve design and development processes, applying Agile best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in signal and power integrity analysis (time-domain and frequency-domain).
  • Knowledge of microprocessor and ASIC packaging and hardware development;
  • Strong skills in signal and power integrity software (ANSYS, Cadence) and PCB design tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities.

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Strong background in transmission line theory, digital signal processing, RF design, and PCB materials/processes.
  • Experience with Python, Skill, Perl, C++, or Matlab;
  • Proven ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
